The program is 46 weeks in length, including a 150 hours practicum with on-the-job training, which will take place offsite with potential employers. The Intra Oral Level I & II Dental Assistant program is available at our London, Kitchener, Brantford and Windsor campuses. 

The program emphasizes the importance of hands-on training and our students also have the distinct advantage of learning within our fully equipped dental clinic. Not only will you have the opportunity to learn from our industry-expert instructors, you will also learn all the technical requirements to excel in your new career as well as having the chance to perform them in our simulated work environment. 

Upon successful completion of our program, students are eligible to take the certification exams through the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB).

The Intra-Oral Dental Assistant program at Anderson College provides training for individuals looking for a rewarding career working in an oral healthcare setting. Intra-Oral Dental Assistants help dentists during examinations and treatments. They also provide direct client care, educate clients on the importance of oral health and perform basic laboratory duties and manage client records.

Upon completion of the program, graduates work as Level I Dental Assistants and can write their Level II exam through the NDAEB. After passing the exam, graduates can work as Level I or Level II Dental Assistants.

Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

The overall program goals and objectives are aligned with Sonography Canada’s National Competency Profile Version 6.0.

Sonography is a regulated profession in Ontario under the guidance of the CMRITO – College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (www.cmrito.org).

Upon successful completion of this program students will also be eligible to challenge the American Registry Exam for the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
